Broker requests to your own charter desk, at no cost to you
TailDirect is the broker platform behind Yond. Every US Part 135 certificate is already listed from FAA records; verified broker companies — including the ones answering travellers from the Yond app and yond.com — search a trip and send the request to the operator's own charter desk. No app, no listing fee, no commission on the charter you close.
Operator outreach is under way — TailDirect's team calls US operators to confirm contacts. You do not have to wait for the call: write to operators@taildirect.com and your personal link comes by email.
What you get
Your aircraft are already on TailDirect. The personal link turns a public record into a card you control.
Your card, your contacts
Confirm the charter-desk email and phone that requests go to, correct the aircraft, add or hide photos, and keep an hourly rate with TailDirect to calibrate its estimates — it is never published. What you save outranks anything researched about you.
Requests the way you want them
An email for every request, and a text message too for urgent trips if you opt in. One thread per request, the broker's company verified before it reaches you.
Travellers' requests from Yond
Yond travellers price a trip on real aircraft and ask for the flight. Brokers on TailDirect take the request and ask the operators best placed to fly it — including you.
Visibility without exposure
Brokers see where your best-placed aircraft was last seen and the class it belongs to. Travellers in the Yond app see neither your name nor your registrations.
How it works
-
1
Your certificate is already in. TailDirect compiles every US Part 135 operator from FAA records and checks the list weekly; holders of a foreign air operator certificate are listed for trips with a leg outside the US.
-
2
You confirm the card. A personal link — sent by email or text after a call, or on request — opens your card, with your contacts, your aircraft and how urgent and regular requests reach you.
-
3
A broker sends a request. A verified broker company picks up to ten operators for a trip and sends one email to each, at the charter address you confirmed, with the trip and the broker's identity.
-
4
You quote the broker directly. You answer the broker, and the charter is contracted between the two of you. TailDirect is not a party to it and takes nothing from it.
Your data, your rules
Positions
Aircraft positions come from public flight-tracking data. Aircraft on the FAA's LADD list are never shown.
Availability as a state, nothing more
If you connect your schedule (FL3XX or a calendar), brokers and the Yond app learn only whether a tail is free, flying or in maintenance on a given day — never your routes, times or clients.
Opt out at any time
Every email carries a mute link, and operators@taildirect.com stops the matching of requests to your certificate the same day. Public FAA data stays public; your channels and photos do not.
Terms for operators
Short, because there is little to agree on.
- 1The listing, the card and the requests cost the operator nothing — no fee, no subscription, no commission. Brokers pay TailDirect's subscription.
- 2TailDirect LLC is an information and communication service, not an air carrier or a broker, and not a party to any charter agreement. Every charter is concluded directly between you and the broker.
- 3Your contact channels are used for charter requests and your own card only. Text messages are transactional — your link, a request for your aircraft — and need your opt-in, which a reply of STOP withdraws.
- 4Operator and aircraft data comes from FAA records, your website and what you submit on your card; you can correct it at any time.
Who you work with
- TailDirect LLC of Casper, Wyoming, an NBAA member, runs the platform and the operator outreach.
- Every broker company is verified before its first request goes out, and its identity is on every request.
- Yond is the traveller-facing price app. It does not sell, arrange or operate flights, and it shows no operator identity.
- Written questions go to operators@taildirect.com. The outreach team calls from +1 (954) 620-9496.
Questions operators ask
Do I have to install anything or create an account?
No. Your card opens from a personal link in your browser. There is no app and no password.
What does it cost?
Nothing, now or later. Brokers pay for the platform; operators are listed, contacted and quoting at no charge and with no commission.
Who sees my aircraft?
Verified broker companies on TailDirect see your aircraft, their last known positions and your charter contacts. Travellers in the Yond app see aircraft by class and model only, without registrations or operator names.
What if a request does not suit us?
Ignore it or decline — there is no obligation to quote. If a broker misbehaves, tell us and the company loses access.
We are not a US Part 135 operator. Can we join?
